How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Colorado Springs?
Straight answer: a tub-and-shower refresh — new surround tile, new floor, new vanity top — runs about $3,500–$5,000 with builder-grade materials. A full mid-range bathroom remodel in Colorado Springs typically lands between $8,000 and $15,000. High-end, layout-changing work goes north of $20,000. Here is what moves the number, and where the money honestly goes.
The three jobs people actually mean
The refresh ($3,500–$5,000). The tub stays, the layout stays, everything tired goes: re-tile the surround in large-format tile, new LVP or tile floor, a new all-in-one vanity top, fresh fixture trim. It is the classic tired 1980s hall bathroom brought back to smart and lettable — or just pleasant to use — in about a week.
The shower remodel (from $2,000 on the November special). Tub out or shower rebuilt properly: hand-built concrete pan, waterproofing as a system, new tile, new glass-ready finish. A standalone shower is the best-value remodel in the house because the waterproofing — the bit that protects the whole structure — gets done once, properly.
The full bathroom ($8,000–$15,000). Everything out, everything new: pan and waterproofing, wall and floor tile, vanity, top, fixtures, the lot. A full bathroom booked with us this autumn came in at $10,000, which is a fair marker for a mid-range Colorado Springs bathroom done to standard, not to a price-cut.
What actually drives the price
What’s under the tile. Rot, a failed pan, or walls that were never waterproofed add honest work you cannot see on a showroom quote. This is why a real estimate follows a look at the room — or at least good photos.
Tile size and pattern. Large-format tile goes up faster with fewer grout lines; intricate patterns and mosaics are hand time. Neither is wrong — but they are not the same price, and anyone quoting otherwise hasn’t thought about your job.
Moving plumbing. Keeping the tub, toilet and basin where they are is the single biggest saving in any bathroom. Move a drain and you have bought plumbing, framing and inspection time on top of tile.
Materials grade. Builder-grade tile, LVP and tops keep a rental or a sensible family bathroom honest. Natural stone and designer glass are lovely — and they are a different budget, in material and in the care of fitting them.
The short version
Budget $3,500–$5,000 for a proper refresh, $8,000–$15,000 for a full mid-range bathroom in Colorado Springs — and be suspicious of any quote that lands far below either without explaining why. The expensive bathroom is the one that gets done twice.
